WETT Inspection? What’s that?

 

We recommend WETT Inspections by qualified professionals PRIOR TO USE of a wood or pellet burning fireplace.

For your SAFETY a WETT Inspection should be a complete inspection of the chimney and fireplace. We do not recommend an inspection less then a Level 2 Inspection; which is a comprehensive inspection of the system.

Level 1 inspections are basic or a very minimal service. If your inspection service provider cannot perform WETT services beyond a Level 1 you may want to evaluate the benefits of calling a Level 2 inspector. A proper inspection (including a sweep) performed on your future home typically costs between $200 and $250.
